Self

   Self is an enemy to God. Its root comes from pride which says, "I can be God." When you exalt self, the will of God in your life is reduced. Self says that I will do anything anytime anyway that I want to do it. Christ says follow me and I will take care of you. (Matt. 11:28). Self says that I know what I know what I am doing and I don't need anyone else. God says that you need me because without me, you will not fully benefit. Self says I will do it my way. God says that we need to cease striving and pray about everything and He will take care of it. Let go and let God. Its the only way.
