Now, I am not saying that we need to be afraid of the Lord, because the Lord wants us to serve Him. I am definitely not saying that we should serve man. Although, we do need to respect government authority. Jesus says that we need to fear the one who can throw body and soul into hell. Now, when I say 'to fear' the Lord, I say that we need to reverence Him and recognize that He is Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. If you choose to serve anything else, you will not make it. The Lord is a sure path of victory. The fear of the Lord is also a sure path to a long life. If you follow the Lord all of the way to the end, you will receive your inheritance. We also need to not only recognize the Lord as lord, but recognize Him as creator. We need to know that He is in charge. There is no other way. Just lay your life down on Him and He will make sure that you will make it to the end. Just trust in Him.
